Little Red French Chair

I found this chair recently on a treasure hunting adventure.  It was a very simple little chair, but the price was right and I had an idea.

I brought the chair home, wiped it down and took the seat off.  IMG_4884

I used paint that I had left over from another project, Vintage Market & Design in Poppy.  For the seat I used a vintage torchon with the initials TA.  I love the texture of this french kitchen towel and the monogram is my favorite detail.  This towel has been in a stack in my kitchen.  I love the way the stacked towels look, but I feel like I will be able to enjoy this piece even more now. Thankfully I didn’t have to cut the towel at all to make this seat cover so if I ever wanted to take it off it should be okay.DSC_0119

I love this chair, and if I can find a place for it I might keep it, but it also might be making its way to Vintique Flea with me in less than 3 weeks.DSC_0118

The chair has gotten the seal of approval from Belle.DSC_0099

  1. Your little French chair is an amazing makeover. I love that you painted it red and that monogrammed French kitchen towel just makes it perfect. Don’t take it to the Vintage Flea if you can’t stand to part with it. Thank you for sharing at Vintage Charm. Pinning and tweeting too. sb
