We hadn’t planned on visiting Chateau de Villandry. We finished our morning at Chinon and we wanted to visit another place. We pulled out the map and found Villandry and started heading that way.
The kitchen had a great collection of wooden furniture and copper pots, 2 of my favorite things.
I love the table.
This rack was really interesting, the crates are like ones that I have seen at many markets. I love how they lift off the rack and they each hold a different kind of produce.
Looking up the stairwell.
A beautiful arrangement from the gardens.
A sweet painting from the house.
This is fabric and ribbon for a wall treatment in one of the children’s rooms.
The library, so beautiful.
I love this hallway.
The view from the library.
This sculpture was beautiful in the afternoon light.
For all of the beautiful art in the house, this little corner of creepy art was more disturbing.
The view from outside.
At the end of the herb garden.
A tree line boulevard is one of my favorite landscaping views. I love how my daughter is in an all out run.
The garden cat enjoying the afternoon sun.
This is the oldest part of the Chateau, it dates back to the 12th century.
My favorite view of the day.
I hope you enjoyed this walk through the Chateau de Villandry with me.
